I'm in heaven...

Guess what??? My KSH finally arrived today! I'm so excited ;) The colour turns out to be darker than I thought, and it's stronger than I thought it would be. But still....I love it so much. You know what I'm thinking?? What yarn should I buy next?? haha....;p My dad is so going to kill me, except that he loves me too much to do that.
I'm thinking of making Branching Out from Knitty, but I'll need to get a pair of 5mm needle, hope that bamboo will works well. So...what to do with the rest 5 skeins?? Add them to my stash? I really shouldn't do that...hope that I can found a good pattern for them. Actuallt I wanted to make a sweater, but now I'm not so sure about wearing mohair anymore. Anyone knows good pattern for KSH?
What about my mini cardigan? I shouldn't just neglect them, right?? I don't love them that much, really. I hate that Micro yarn, but I think I've started to get along with it.
Uughhh....school again tomorrow....

One of my past FO, my first intarsia project, what a mess. But I'm loving it, with the techno hair edging and crocheted strap which took me 2 skein of cotton. Unbelievable!

I never thought knitting lace would be this challenging. This is all I've got after whole day of knitting. I made mistakes, dropped stitches, ripped few rows and get going again. Don't worry, I'm not going to give up, at least not yet,

Over 300 stitch patterns, how cool is that to improve my knitting??

BAD BAD DAY

I had a horrible experience in the bus this evening. I'm not going to share it though, it was just too disgusting. :(
Anyway, this morning on my way to school I cast on again for my mini sweater, this time it's for the back. I decided I wanted to make it a little bit more interesting by doing it in Lozenge stitch. So, I worked the ribbing at school and when I wanted to do the pattern, I realised that I have the wrong number of stitches. I ripped it all again and just knit the first row. This time I'm gonna get it right. Really.
Well, I went to the bookstore to pre-order Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince. Say anything you want, I'm a BIG fan. It'll be released on 16th July, 2 days before my birthday. What a perfect gift for myself ;)
Anyway, I decided to buy a stitch dictionary, which was such a bargain at RM 29.90. I spotted a new book, which was called Hip Knits. It was beatifully designed with a really funky fuschia cover. Unfrotunately, the price was RM 89.90, which I could use to buy enough yarn to make another Tempting.
After all the sweat yesterday, I bought a bottle of conditioner to wash my Tempting. I noticed that it stretched out even more. I'm lying it between 2 towels right now, hope that it'll be fine.

See that shoelace? See how short it is? See how big it is? See how fat I look in it?
profile

Uh-Oh...

This early morning, I proudly wore my Tempting with a white tank underneath. My friends were impressed, though some of them said that I look fatter in it. But I just don't care, because I was too proud of myself for finishing it. We went to eat dimsum, and after that we went to the Taman ....( can't remember the name, just a big big park) and met all my classmates there. We went there puposely to take pictures to be put in our graduation magazine. Everything went great, except that I was sweating a lot, and my tank was all wet underneath. My Tempting seemed to be unable to absord any of the liquid, causing all my sweat trapped inside and made my tank and even the upper part of my pants wet for hours. Well, I didn't really mind.
But just now, several hours later, after bowling, games, rides and lunch, I went home. I took some picture of me wearing it, which I think looks fine.
Then I took it off to find out that I've got lots of (um...i dunno, fiber?)of the wool on my armpit. I examined it again, and found out that the joining parts of the sleeves looked like it's felted, seriously. When I took a second look, I noticed that it is MUCH bigger that it was before. It looks horrible, I don't know what to do with it. I haven't wash it yet, since I'm running out of conditioner. I wonder if shampoo can also be used.
Oh, and as if it's not bad enough, I just found out that the front part of my mini cardigan is too big after 6". Needless to say, I ripped out all of it. AArRrrgGhhH!!

Yippie yay!!! Finally!!

That's it!! I just finished Tempting!! I know I said 2 days, but my needles just won't stop though my eyes are closing and my hands are sour. I need to wake up at 5.45 a.m. tomorrow, not sure how I'm going to make it ;p Anyway, it's not really finished since I haven't done the finishing part yet, but there are so little left to do so I'll just do it tomorrow, when I'm sober.
I tried it on just now, and just what I'd expected, too short!! Apart from that, it fits me perfectly, not too loose and definetely not tight. I'll have to find a ribbon to match it, but I've been toying with the idea of using crochet chain or shoe lace (seriously!) instead. I think that I'm going to wear it with a white tank or halter. I'll post a picture after I'm done, promise!! And thanks again to everyone who motivated me throughout this project, million thanks!!!

KnIt..kNiT...KnIt...

Thanks so much for all the support, it really gave me a boost of confidence an keeps me on my needle. No, I'm not finished yet, but I'm getting closer and closer. Promise myself that I'm going to finish it within 2 days, hope that I can make it.
After tempting, I'm going to continue working on my mini cardigan with the micro yarn. I don't know yet what to call it, so for now it will just be the mini cardigan.
I bought 6 skein of Rowan KSH 3 days ago and the item should be shipped today, which means I'm going to get in around 2 weeks. Wish that I can finish my mini cardigan by then and cast on another project, I don't know yet what to make out of it. Actually, I was planning to make a long sleeved sweater using big needles when I bought it. But after much blogging lately, I found a lot of great patterns using that yarn. There are Birch, Kiri, Tie one on, Kidsilk, etc. I've been interested in trying lace lately, so maybe I'll change my mind. I wonder if 6 skeins are enough to make a sweater and a shawl...hmm....
Well, I still remember my sock yarn. I've been looking around for basic sock pattern since yesterday. Nothing too complicated yet, but I really want to make one with ribbed cuff. Which reminds me, I only have 1 pair of 3mm dpns(4). I'll need to buy some more of them, but I never saw any dpns set of 5 in the lys. I'm still not too good with using dpn, so maybe I'll try the trick using 2 circular needle ;) interesting...
After all of these...maybe it's time to try some serious felting. All the patterns out there are so great!! I can't stop finding something that I want to knit. Duh..What a girl can do??

Happy April FOOL!!!

Well, as the title said, happy April Fool! though I don't have any reason to be either happy or unhappy with it. I only got fooled once today and after that all my classmates and I were to occupied with trying to fool our teachers.
My dad keeps on calling these few days and pressuring me to apply to uni as fast as possible. For God's sake! it's only April and he already wants me to apply for next year course without my result and portfolio? I'm getting really irritated and I've really considered pulling out my phone cable. He drives me crazy and makes me wanna scream my heart out.AAaaaRRGgHHh....!!!!
Back to knitting....I just realised that there are lots of things I still need to learn about knitting. I mean, I suck at reading pattern and never follow any. Besides, I don't know how to do all the techniques such as fair isle, intarsia, aran, bobbles, lace, felting, blocking and lots more. I'm also hopeless when using double pointed needles. I really want to learn all the techniques and I'm quite confident that I'll get to master it one day(ten years later maybe....).
Anyway, about my current project, I think that I'll try to follow the pattern for Tempting on Knitty.com though it won't be exact. I'm considering on using circular needle instead of double pointed needle called in the pattern for the arms. Will it be okay??? I don't know, but I'm willing to experiment with it.
Well, I'm attending an Inter-school Scrabble Competition tomorrow and I'm really nervous so I'm going to practise online once more then get an early sleep. Wish me luck!!
